Project Lead Unified XDR Migration (Freelance)

Drive the technical execution of the transition from a hybrid SIEM setup to a Unified XDR platform. The Technical Project Lead coordinates a phased migration across technology domains, reducing reliance on the dual-platform setup and accelerating the realization of detection and efficiency benefits. The role requires close collaboration with the security platform monitoring team, infrastructure teams, and business teams to consolidate security telemetry, streamline detection workflows, and enable unified monitoring capabilities.

This is a freelance assignment until 31-03-2028.

What you are going to do

• Translate the high-level Unified XDR roadmap into a detailed execution roadmap.
• Coordinate execution across the Group CISO Monitoring Platform team, infrastructure teams, and application teams.
• Ensure timely delivery of migration activities, including agent deployment, configuration changes, and platform integration, while making sure monitoring use cases are effectively migrated and optimized.
• Manage sequencing and dependencies to minimize operational risks.
• Support prioritization of migration activities based on impact and feasibility.

• Experienced in leading complex technical transformation programs in IT/security domains.
• Comfortable operating in environments with distributed ownership across engineering teams.
• Able to manage large-scale migration and integration efforts involving multiple technologies.
• Proactive, results-driven, and able to drive execution in complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Strong communicator capable of aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of security monitoring is a benefit.

Who you will work with

You will work closely with the product manager of the Cyber Defense Center, the platform product owner, and dedicated engineers from the platform team executing the migration. Besides this core team, you will have close collaboration with our infrastructure teams, many DevOps teams, and higher management throughout NN Group.
