We are looking for a Senior Business Controller Tech & Data and HR to act as the strategic finance business partner for HR, Tech & Data as well as a selection of Head Office departments. You enable data-driven decision-making by combining strong financial expertise with business acumen to drive performance, improve predictability, and strengthen control. You challenge and support senior stakeholders with sharp insights and a clear point of view. You play a key role in strengthening business control across your domains while also helping set standards and improve cost control processes across all Head Office departments.

You will be part of the central Control & Analytics team in Amsterdam and report directly to the Head of Group Control.

Share your talents

  • Act as a solid business partner to the HR and Tech & Data teams, as well as a selection of Head Office departments, and have a leading role in the Plan & Control cycle from accurate planning and insightful reporting to business cases.
  • Analyze financial data on OPEX and CAPEX to identify trends, variances, and opportunities to improve cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain new cost control standards and procedures to monitor and manage expenses within our Head Office departments, in close cooperation with Financial Control, Procurement, Project Managers, and our Reporting & BI team.
  • Together with the HR analytical team, create insights into FTE, vacancies, and other HR-related KPIs.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and AI where relevant to improve forecasting accuracy and decision quality.
  • Contribute to the Group Control planning & Control cycle and transformation initiatives focused on standardization, simplification, and automation.

Bring all of you

  • Master’s degree in Business Economics or a related field.
  • Approx. 7-10 years experience in (business) control or a comparable role.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
  • Experience in retail, or another fast-paced international environment is preferred.
  • Strong English skills are required.
  • You bring high energy, low ego, and a healthy dose of humor. You're a natural collaborator who thrives in an international, fast-paced environment.
