The senior corporate controller supports the group control team with corporate consolidation, reporting to external stakeholders such as shareholders, lenders, landlords and suppliers, providing internal consulting on IFRS and accounting regulations, and alignment with the external auditor. You will be a key partner of internal management and external stakeholders on key accounting and audit matters. You bring solid accounting knowledge and are motivated to contribute to organizational improvements, supporting Another Star in achieving a next level of accounting maturity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidation processes in accordance with IFRS and NL GAAP and other applicable accounting standards
• Ensure full Group IFRS compliance for Dutch entities and advise on local GAAP and reporting issues. You are one of the IFRS specialists in the company and will be a key point of contact for accounting related questions
• Be one of the key contributors to preparing and delivering the annual report. You own the annual report as one of the key Finance projects from coordinating key stakeholders, data gathering, financial disclosures, and acting as a primary contact for the external auditor
• Support the local reporting of our entities across the world
• Prepare position papers and consulting with Group and local GAAP advisors with regards to GAAP and reporting issues
• Act as a point of contact for financial reporting to shareholders and lenders. Translate the Management report (Hotel USALI) to IFRS to the shareholders request for reporting (INREV).
• Maintain and enhance the Group accounting manual and reporting standards
• You have a genuine interest in the consolidation technical landscape (Business Central, Tagetik) and proactively provide feedback on how to improve processes and ensure that the systems are used in a better way.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• MSc in Finance / Accounting / Auditing & control and RA / CPA / MBA
• Proven experience in auditing & control and/or finance & accounting (Big 4 experience and familiarity with IFRS is an advantage).
• Able to balance a broad perspective with attention to detail and it’s possible to maintain structure, organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate on various levels and with different stakeholders.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central 365, Tagetik and Power BI is a plus
• Value working collaboratively as part of a team
• Interest in developing coaching and leadership skills
• Enthusiastic about working in a changing, dynamic, transformational and evolving environment
• Familiar with Agile way of working
• Fluent in English
