Senior Supply Planner - FMCG

You will be part of the Supply Planning department and report to the Teamlead Supply Planning FMCG. As a Senior Supply Planner, you are responsible for ensuring optimal supply and inventory planning for distribution centres and hubs within your assigned category. You balance service levels, availability targets, and contractual supplier agreements while safeguarding stock efficiency across the network. In this senior planning role, you act as a key representative for your category, driving improvements in supply performance and inventory health together with internal and external stakeholders.

You are structured, analytical, and confident in stakeholder environments. You take ownership, act proactively, and are comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced operational setting. You combine a strong numerical mindset with commercial awareness and know how to balance priorities under pressure. You act as a senior professional within the team, representing the category towards stakeholders and suppliers and taking a lead role in driving supply chain performance.

You also:

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and neighbouring departments such as Buying, Commercial and Logistics to achieve common goals
• Take a coaching role within the team and lead by example in daily execution
• Are able to signal core issues, conduct thorough analysis, and translate findings into clear process improvement proposals at category-supplier level
• Drive continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing simple and effective ways of working with minimal complexity
• Are result-oriented, proactive and able to independently improve performance and supplier outcomes
• Support and develop team members through coaching and knowledge sharing

In addition

• A completed Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Supply Chain or similar
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, merchandising, or similar roles within retail or trading environments (retail experience is mandatory or strong retail connection required)
• Strong Excel skills and high affinity with data and numbers
• Experience with DC replenishment systems (e.g. Slimstock, Symphony) is a plus
• Experience with article forecasting is preferred
• Experience in international retail or high-volume operational environments is an advantage
• Strong stakeholder management experience across commercial, buying, logistics and supplier environments
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken) with Dutch being a BIG plus
