Software Developer – Marketing Automation

Join the Performance Marketing team, specifically Growth Solutions. This is a small, agile team with a big impact, building custom internal solutions that aim to automate as much of the Ad Strategy as possible and make the Marketing Specialists’ life easier so that they can focus on the important stuff. Automation is at the heart of everything the team does, whether that’s building Google Ads campaigns, improving data integrity, or tracking conversions. Automation takes away human error and allows marketing to be as agile and performant as possible.

* Please note that this position is located in Amsterdam (3 days a week from our Amsterdam office and 2 days working from home)

Key components of the position

• Participate in code reviews
• Debug and troubleshoot bugs independently
• Write and maintain code (Java)
• Independently pick up tickets off the backlog that have been written and approved by a senior
• Maintain documentation of new and existing services

What you will bring to the team

• A core understanding of strongly typed object-oriented programming (Java, etc.). Familiarity with the core tech stack is a bonus: Java, JavaScript (Next.js), and Google Cloud Platform.
• The ability to think outside the box and turn complex challenges into elegant solutions.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, SEA, or SEO is a plus due to the nature of the work, but a desire to learn is valued most.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Understanding of modern front-end architecture principles and design practices: micro frontend architecture, SSR, SPA, responsive design, progressive enhancement, graceful degradation
