V.I.E Junior Software Engineer with C++ experience

At ALTEN, we are looking for a Junior Software Engineer with C++ experience to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in Rotterdam.

The Position

As V.I.E Junior Software Engineer, your main tasks will include:

• support the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications using C++
• collaborate with senior engineers, contribute to front-end and/or back-end development tasks, write clean and efficient code, fix bugs, and participate in code reviews
• learn best practices, improving technical skills, and gaining hands-on experience in building reliable and scalable software solutions

Your Profile

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science and a relevant degree
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in C++ (high-performance systems, embedded, real-time applications)
• Fluent in English
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge on building scalable, maintainable systems
• Comfortable working in collaborative, agile teams and hybrid settings

The requirements for V.I.E.

• French or EU nationality with French Social Security Number
• Must not have previously lived in the Netherlands
• Under 28 years old

Working conditions

• Temporary contract for 1 year – can be extended for one more year
• Coverage of travel expenses for the relocation
• Possibility of hybrid working
