Product Engineer

Foremore is a fast-growing company helping building materials merchants and contractors improve logistics. For the first time, the team is inviting a product engineer to join in Amsterdam. The role is suited to someone who wants to understand customers’ problems and work across all sides of the product to create effective solutions. Foremore’s drivers and platform already solve important customer problems, but the team believes there is much more the platform can do to deliver the best logistics experience for building materials merchants.

What you’ll be doing

• Build product improvements based on customer research, feedback, and data.
• Contribute to both backend and frontend development, and sometimes design, to deliver a strong product experience.
• Develop a deep understanding of merchants, their contractors, and internal processes through hands-on work such as visiting customer locations, speaking with users, and occasionally joining deliveries.
• Help connect the platform seamlessly with ERPs, eCommerce website builders, and other third-party systems to streamline the delivery process.
• Ensure the stability, efficiency, and scalability of the platform as the user base grows.
• Help ideate, develop, and optimize AI-driven features that provide real-time support and insights to improve customer productivity.

The successful candidate will have the following skills

• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails or a similar framework such as Django.
• Familiarity with frontend development, especially JavaScript frameworks like StimulusJS or similar, to work across the full stack.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a small, often remote team.
• The ability to take ownership of projects, drive them to completion, and adapt quickly to the changing needs of a growing startup.
• A genuine interest in understanding and solving customer challenges, with motivation drawn from seeing the real-world impact of your work.
• English speaker.
• Enthusiasm for or experience working with LLM APIs, with an interest in applying AI to solve customer problems and enhance productivity.
