As a Procurement Advisor, you will play a key role in enabling that mission by ensuring TNO collaborates with the right suppliers under well-structured contracts and efficient procurement processes.
In this role, you will primarily support TNO’s Business Units, with a particular focus on the Energy & Materials Transition (EMT) unit. EMT operates at the forefront of the energy transition, developing breakthrough solutions for a sustainable, circular and carbon-neutral society. You will help researchers and project teams source the right suppliers, technology partners and specialist services, allowing innovations to be realised quickly, safely and effectively.
At the same time, TNO is further professionalising its procurement organisation by integrating procurement activities more closely within Supply Chain Management. This gives you a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the development of a rapidly evolving procurement function.
As a Procurement Advisor, you will work on a broad range of procurement activities in a highly technical and multidisciplinary environment. You will lead challenging procurement projects, including:
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure TNO maintains access to cutting-edge technologies and services. In addition, you will collaborate with fellow Procurement Advisors, Supply Chain Managers and the Strategic Supply Chain Manager to continuously strengthen and improve the Procurement department.
Your work will directly contribute to TNO’s innovation capability and long-term strategic impact.

This is a hybrid position: you will work from home around half of the time, while spending the remaining days across the various office locations in Utrecht, The Hague, and occasionally Eindhoven.

We offer a gross monthly salary between € 4.621,- and € 7.114,- (based on your knowledge and experience), 8% holiday pay, a 13th month bonus of 8.33% and a flex budget (5.58% + € 180). As you will be working for clients in the domain of defence and security, a Certificate of No Objection issued by AIVD (the Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service) is mandatory. This means you will have to undergo a security screening.
