The internship

HEINEKEN committed to becoming net zero carbon by 2030 (scope 1&2) and to reduce its water usage significantly. To reach our goals, we use driving system for utilities (Energy & Water) usage and aim to enhance this further. During this internship, you will be working on improving the existing driving system template and start the process of simplifying/improving the driving system available.

In this internship you will be responsible for:

• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to start the development of future proof versions of the driving system
• Improving the documentation regarding the driving system
• Preparing the 2027 driving system worldwide
• Support development of automated reports and data pipelines
• Interact with other departments (TPM and Business Insight Team) and different regional stakeholders to define the future state of the driving system tools

The department

The Sustainable Production department (part of Global Production, Supply Chain) consists of a multidisciplinary team, working on different subjects of sustainability of our operations such as water and energy usage, decarbonization, wastewater management and reporting. The team is made up of professionals from different countries, expertise and academic background with all one goal to make our operations more sustainable

The terms of employment

• Your starting date is 1 August 2026
• The internship is full time
• The duration of the internship is 6 months
• It is a practice-oriented internship
• You will be based in Amsterdam
• During your internship, you have the flexibility to workin a hybrid setup
• You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week
• You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on full time)
• If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain/Operations, or Energy/Sustainability (with a strong data focus).
• Passion for sustainability, improving efficiency of operations and making an impact on global scale
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, data connections) and a good understanding of data analysis and basic statistics; basic knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

Conditions of HEINEKEN

1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
2. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
3. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
4. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
5. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).
