The internship

As an intern, you'll tackle two major projects: developing a should cost model for crown corks and creating the ideal Price Adjustment Formula (PAF). While we already use advanced should cost models for beverage cans, we're now applying this approach to crown corks across different regions. You'll get hands-on experience with these models. PAFs help set prices in long-term contracts, and you'll carry out detailed analysis on our current formulas to build a more consistent, perfect PAF. Additionally, you'll gain insight into global can sourcing within an international setting!

Your new team and workplace

At Heineken Global Procurement – Packaging we are responsible for global sourcing of packaging materials, like bottles, cans, crown corks and labels. You will work in the Metal team that sources close to 30 bio. beverage cans and crown corks and a spend of close to Euro 3 bio. The team consists of 6 people (5 nationalities), each responsible for a region (Europe, Americas, Africa & Middle East and Asia) or category (crown corks). The team works on many exciting projects to ensure reliable and sustainable supply of materials. Some examples: footprint development, should-cost analysis, allocation optimization, etc. The continuous disruptive developments in the world ensure an exciting and insightful workspace where you can really make an impact for the company!

Conditions of HEINEKEN

You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.

1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.

• You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
• You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

Our Internship Conditions

• A full-time practice-oriented internship, starting on September 1, 2026
• The duration of the internship is 5 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
• At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
• You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
• You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
• If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
