Your role:

The Digital Workplace Administrator provides first-line IT support to all EMEA employees, ensuring access to hardware, systems, and tools required for their work. The role troubleshoots issues, manages device lifecycle processes, and collaborates with global teams and external partners to maintain digital continuity. By executing operational support services and resolving issues within defined frameworks, the role supports the functionality of the digital workplace across all departments in the EU region.

Main tasks:

  • Provide onsite support to the Amsterdam office, retail stores and all end-users working remotely, or in Patagonia facilities requiring IT assistance by acting as their first point of contact for Tier 1 support.
  • Own and execute the full lifecycle of workplace hardware for onboarding, offboarding, device preparation, asset tracking, and decommissioning. Maintain accurate records on asset management and ticketing platforms.
  • Support business continuity by managing incidents and outages across retail stores and remote offices. Act as the key liaison between EMEA users and escalation groups to drive timely resolution and user communication.
  • Design, test, and apply system policies in the IT environment including AV, Network and Security duties.
  • Coordinate with regional stakeholders including People & Culture, Office Management, and NA Engineering teams to align support standards, advise on licensing and hardware needs, and help improve team support processes.

What we’re looking for:

  • An inclusive mindset
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT Helpdesk in on-site support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting IT operations in a Retail organization will be a plus.
  • Good understanding of user and endpoint management and administration to configure, manage, and deploy devices using tools such as Intune, JAMF, Asset Sonar, Axonius and Zendesk.
  • Good understanding of PC and Mac support, issue resolution to prioritize incidents based on urgency and business impact, with escalations when required to ensure service continuity following ITIL-based principles.
  • Good knowledge of scripting and automation, working with PowerShell to solve recurring support issues and streamline repetitive administrative tasks. Managing Office 365, SharePoint, and (Azure) Active Directory.
  • Good organizational and decision-making skills in a support environment by independently managing daily support priorities.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • A love of the outdoors
  • An interest in saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work

Other important details:

  • This is a full-time position based in Amsterdam.
  • We have a hybrid work model, working some days per week from home; however, for this role, to ensure right cooperation with the team, work from the office at least 4 days per week is required.
