We are looking for a Supply Chain Software Specialist who will act as a bridge between business and IT. This role is responsible for providing daily support to end users on Supply Chain applications, primarily IFS and NADIA. The position focuses on application functional support, including analyzing and resolving functional issues, and coordinating with IT or external support providers when technical issues need to be addressed.

Purpose

We are looking for a Supply Chain Software Specialist who will act as a bridge between business and IT. This role is responsible for providing daily support to end users on Supply Chain applications, primarily IFS and NADIA. The position focuses on application functional support, including analyzing and resolving functional issues, and coordinating with IT or external support providers when technical issues need to be addressed.

Knowledge and Competencies

  • IT Tools and application: Knowledge of IT tools and applications and related procedures for a given environment, and ability to apply this knowledge and/or perform function management to provide high quality operational services.
  • Systems and Technology: Ability to update system administration and provide necessary maintenance. Ability to execute regular systems integrity checks. Ability to diagnose the origin of system problems and provide solution suggestions, as well as select and implement new systems and upgrades when necessary.
  • Incident Management: Understanding of incident classifications and tiers, with the ability to report and record incidents in relevant incident recording platforms. Ability to develop incident investigation scope and perform incident investigation using root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Inspection, testing, commissioning and monitoring: Ability to specify, develop and oversee inspection, testing, quality control and monitoring programs, including selection of tools, techniques and safety systems for parts, products and systems.
  • Purchasing Tools and Processes: Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of the work processes defined within SBM Supply Chain System, specifically in GEMS and all Supply Chain related systems and tools management.
  • Change Management: Ability to enable adoption of new ways of working when implementing change within the organization by applying state-of-the-art people-side change methodologies and acting as a Change Agent.
  • Governance, Risk and Control: Knowledge and understanding of governance, risk and compliance frameworks applicable to the organization, awareness of latest developments and best practices, and ability to translate these into relevant strategies and apply them within SBM practice.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ability to analyse, manage and implement new ways of working to improve performance and results, systematically addressing needs for improvement and regularly adjusting the approach.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree in Information Technology is required. Candidates with strong knowledge of Supply Chain processes, combined with relevant application support experience, will also be highly considered.

Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Application Support is required.
  • Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, problem-solving, and Change Management is essential.
  • Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with end users, stakeholders, and for documentation purposes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional teams, with the ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and contribute to a positive team culture.
