For our new Pop-Up store in Raadhuisstraat, Amsterdam, we are recruiting for a full-time Store Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a strong and successful business with ambitious yet realistic growth plans. This position is responsible for achieving the sales and profit targets. You manage and coordinate the store's daily operations, including the sales staff. You will work continuously on improving the service quality in the store and ensure that a store ambiance is achieved in line with the corporate identity.

Kindly note that this is a Temporary role from 30th July to 30th September 2026.

Sales and Customer Service

  • Ensure the team is delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ensure company standards are met for the shop floor, BOH, and Sales Associates according to brand standards and VM directives.
  • Ensure customer service according to the "Welcome to Karl" training by each team member.
  • Contribute to team effort by leading by example on the shop floor and driving sales.

Operations

  • Ensure that all stock is well-maintained and in good condition, and the store is fully replenished at all times.
  • Plan, coordinate, and promptly execute all Merchandise Calendar direction, campaigns, and sales promotions.
  • Implement correct usage of interior signage, ensure all pricing, signage, and displays are correct at all times.
  • Ensure a hazard-free store environment according to health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor theft and take steps toward loss prevention.
  • Training and coaching of the team concerning health and safety, theft, and loss.
  • Share communication from head office departments (Merchandising, VM, Operations, HR) with store staff and ensure all is understood and followed.

Commercial

  • Utilize company tools to diagnose opportunities, analyze, and summarize information, prepare reports and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Prepare sales and customer relations reports by analyzing and categorizing sales information; identifying and investigating customer complaints and service suggestions.

People Management

  • Motivate the team and recognize potential and development opportunities and enhance the team's knowledge accumulation using the House of Karl Manual and additional Learning and Development resources.
  • Provide structure and daily priorities for the team to follow on the shop floor.

Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in Retail.
  • Extensive experience and ability to lead the delivery of a high level of customer service.
  • Retail operations, budgeting, planning, customer service, leadership, and sales experience required.
  • Communicate honestly, openly, and constructively.
  • Contribute to an inclusive culture of diverse styles and talents, working toward a clear purpose.
  • You like working with international clients and team members.
  • Language: Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
