As part of the development of our organization, there is an increasing demand in functionality that is either realized in existing applications or in new applications. If you are seeking to deliver successful implementation projects, the position of Solution Architect Commerce at Action may be the role for you.

Solution Architect Commerce

This is your daily action

As a Solution Architect Commerce, you are responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end solutions that support Action’s rapidly evolving commerce operations. These operations evolve around processes such as planning, buying, contract management, merchandising and demand.

As Solution Architect you work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure our IT landscape aligns with operational needs and strategic goals.

This role is requiring deep expertise in integrations, strong analytical skills, ability to cope with a dynamic and changing work environment and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Develop and maintain architecture for commercial processes.
  • Integration: Ensure seamless integration between applications such as SAP and other retail applications in use.
  • Business Alignment: Collaborate with commerce teams to understand operational challenges and translate them into system solutions.
  • Implementation Support: Guide project teams during implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Governance: Define and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and documentation.
  • Innovation: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within commerce.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership.

Your team

One of the key departments within Action Technology for achieving Action's ambitious growth targets is Commerce, focusing on the process from Offer to Contract. This team consists of engaged, cost-conscious and customer-focused people with diverse cultural backgrounds.

What You Offer

You are analytical and professional and use your good communication skills to help connect with others. You have an affinity for retail and know how to strike the balance between detail and the bigger picture in this environment.

You also have the following:

  • Experience: 5 years of technical and software architectural experience in a retail environment.
  • Hands-On Approach: Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize low code and SaaS technologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and data analysis capabilities.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to bridge the gap between technical solutions and business needs.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical experience: experience with ERP, low-code, Master Data Management, retail and SaaS are very useful in this role.
  • Experience with Agile and SCRUM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in large-scale retail or FMCG environments.
  • Experience with or certification in formalized Architecture approach, preferrably TOGAF level II.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and emerging Commerce technologies.
