Purpose of Role

The Lead, HRBP – Retail (EMEA) supports the execution of people strategies for the retail organization, reporting into the Sr. Director, HR - EMEA. This role partners closely with retail leadership and HR Centers of Excellence to deliver key HR programs across talent management, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and operational execution.

The Lead HRBP acts as a trusted partner to business leaders, helping translate business priorities into effective people solutions while ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies and local employment regulations.

This role is a 6 month contract position intended to support the Retail business through HR transformation and transition.

Your Impact

  • Partner with Retail leadership (Director level and below) to support delivery of business and people priorities across the EMEA retail organization.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to District Managers and Store Managers, in close collaboration with HR Operations.
  • Support the execution of workforce plans, talent initiatives, and organizational changes aligned with broader HR strategy.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure a strong pipeline for retail roles, including seasonal hiring.
  • Reinforce performance management processes, including coaching managers on feedback, development, and accountability.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, partnering with Legal and HR Ops as needed on complex cases.
  • Support performance management, disciplinary processes, and exits in alignment with company policies and local regulations.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, employment law, and compliance standards.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (TA, Total Rewards, L&D, HR Ops) to execute HR programs including hiring, compensation, benefits, and training initiatives.
  • Support implementation of wage and salary programs, and ensure understanding at the store leadership level.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and drive local adoption of culture and leadership behaviors.
  • Support organizational design and workforce planning efforts, providing insights from the retail business.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve team effectiveness, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaborate across HR teams and business stakeholders to deliver consistent and scalable HR solutions.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, including process improvements and system updates (e.g., HCM).
  • Stay informed on HR trends, labor regulations, and best practices to continuously improve support to the business.

Qualifications

  • 6 years of solid HR generalist experience within retail or multi-site environments.
  • Strong foundation in employee relations, performance management, and HR program execution.
  • Working knowledge of local employment laws within EMEA markets (depth may vary by country).
  • Ability to partner effectively with managers and provide practical, solutions-oriented HR support.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple HR functions.
  • Organized and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
