At G-STAR, this HR internship offers the opportunity to experience the full employee lifecycle, supporting both Recruitment and HR Operations from the international headquarters in Amsterdam.

You will work closely with the HR team to help attract, engage and onboard new talent, while also supporting the daily HR processes that ensure a smooth and positive employee experience. You’ll get a full introduction to what it means to work in HR within an international fashion brand.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to take full ownership of the G-STAR intern community, helping to create a strong, connected and engaging intern experience.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

  • Support the full employee lifecycle, from attraction and recruitment to onboarding, employee changes and offboarding.
  • Coordinate and lead the internship recruitment campaign for Winter 2027.
  • Upload, review and maintain job descriptions in the HRIS (Daywize) in line with internal standards.
  • Screen applicants and CVs and support the selection of candidates for interviews.
  • Schedule and participate in virtual and in-person interviews with hiring managers.
  • Coordinate onboarding days for new hires.
  • Build, coordinate and engage the G-STAR intern community, including organizing events and initiatives.
  • Maintain and manage the HR system and shared HR inbox.
  • Support the HR back office in delivering an overview of the monthly changes to the payroll department.
  • Support HR officers and HR business partners as a first point of contact for HR policy-related questions from employees.
  • Learn other frequently occurring administrative and operational HR tasks, such as preparing employer statements, submitting 30% ruling applications, and administering special leave such as maternity leave and parental leave.

What you bring to the table:

  • You are pursuing a Bachelor/Master in a Human Resources-related education.
  • You are passionate about Human Resources and wish to start learning the basics of HR. Within your study, you have started to develop a picture of how to best attract and match the right candidates for an organization, and ensure a seamless new hire and employee experience.
  • Preferably, you are interested in Fashion/Retail.
  • You are a proactive, energetic and driven intern who wants to learn by doing.
  • You are a multitasker who enjoys working on multiple topics at the same time.
  • You have experience with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). A first experience with ATS/HRIS systems is a plus, but if not, you will learn.
  • You are available full-time for a period of 6 months starting in August or September 2026.
  • You are already living in the Netherlands and are in possession of a BSN.
  • You are enrolled at a university or college in the Netherlands during the whole length of the internship.
  • If you are a non-EU student in the Netherlands, you are in possession of a mandatory internship assignment.
  • If you have a strong personality and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, we’d love to meet you.
