Transport Operations Specialist

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres.

How you create impact

As a Transport Operations Specialist, you are responsible for the daily planning, coordination, and execution of transport operations. You ensure timely and cost efficient distribution, act as the central point of coordination, and resolve operational challenges in a dynamic logistics environment.

• Plan, coordinate, and optimize daily transport routes and capacities
• Monitor execution and proactively manage delays, disruptions, and exceptions
• Adjust transport plans based on volume changes and ad hoc requests
• Coordinate with carriers, internal teams, customers, and external partners
• Ensure on time deliveries and efficient return flows at optimal cost
• Provide operational support and first line problem resolution
• Escalate complex issues to relevant stakeholders when required
• Maintain accurate transport administration and system updates
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of transport processes

What we would like you to bring

• 2–3 years of experience as a Transport Planner, Dispatcher, or similar role
• Proven experience in daily transport planning and operational execution
• Experience with a Transport Management System (TMS); Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) is a plus
• Proactive mindset with strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Experience in a fast paced logistics or distribution environment
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Fluent English is mandatory; Dutch is a strong advantage
