What are you going to do?

In this role, you are responsible for identifying, developing, and realizing new business within the medical devices and healthcare technology market. You combine commercial drive with technical understanding of product design and development and engineering services. As part of Demcon life sciences & health, you operate within a product development partner that delivers engineering and consultancy services for medical devices, life sciences (biotech and IVD), and nuclear medicine. We support both start-ups and established organizations across the value chain by extending their R&D capabilities and providing specialized technical and regulatory expertise. Our role goes beyond execution: we help customers tackle complex challenges, reduce development risks, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Your responsibilities include;

  • Developing client propositions and translating them into clear strategies.
  • Generating and qualifying new leads aligned with market focus across advanced medical technologies such as drug delivery systems, diagnostic equipment, therapy devices, surgical systems, and women's health devices.
  • Managing the commercial process from first contact to contract signing.
  • Identifying market trends and translating them into opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships with medical equipment manufacturers and biotech companies and partners drive healthcare innovation.
  • Actively developing your network and strengthening Demcon’s visibility and position within the medical devices and life sciences domain.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, from feasibility studies and proof of concept through product development, and production transfer. You are technically well-grounded and able to think along with customers at a conceptual level, translating complex questions into feasible medical solutions.

What do you bring to the table?

You are an entrepreneurial and driven professional who thrives in a technical environment.

  • Master's level (WO) thinking and working capability
  • At least 5 years of commercial experience within a technical field
  • Affinity with or experience in medical devices
  • Strong strategic and commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Fluency in Dutch and English
  • Willingness to travel internationally
