Factor Europe is scaling rapidly and is looking for a high-agency Product Analyst to be the first dedicated data hire within the Product team.
In this role, you will dive deep into key questions on the path to Product-Market Fit: understanding the problems customers face, what product decisions drive their behaviour, and why the business is winning or losing with specific segments. You will act as the technical bridge for a small, flat Product team comprising Culinary R&D, Nutrition, Menu Planning, and Strategy, helping define the product roadmap and continuously improve the customer experience.
This is an early-stage opportunity for an analyst who wants to build. The Factor Europe team operates with the agility and urgency of a startup, with the resources and infrastructure of the HelloFresh Group.
What you’ll do
Deep-Dive Research & Insights
- Perform in-depth analyses, such as cohort analysis and A/B tests, to evaluate the impact of physical product decisions and identify which recipe and menu changes drive customer retention.
- Tackle complex and open-ended research questions, helping validate hypotheses about customers’ needs and behaviours, and translate messy or imperfect data into clear, digestible narratives.
- Triangulate quantitative data with qualitative feedback, including customer reviews, sensory testing, and surveys, to build a 360-degree view of the customer.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the customer offering through independent research and analysis.
Infrastructure & Tool Building
- Build and maintain queries, dashboards, and automated GSheet tools that empower the Product team to find their own answers.
- Support the creation and tracking of relevant metrics that explain the causal relationship between the team’s weekly actions, customer engagement, and business performance.
- Automate repetitive data tasks so the team spends less time updating trackers and more time improving the product offering.
Be a Data Champion
- Build a culture of data-drivenness by promoting data literacy, quality, and best practice within the team.
- Improve and automate the weekly business performance review process, ensuring data is reliable and available.
- Support process automation and conduct cross-functional analysis where Product intersects with Production and Procurement.
What you’ll bring
- Bias for action: You don’t wait for research questions to come to you; you are curious about what makes the business successful and constantly look for insights that will give the team an edge.
- Resourceful: You dig, ask questions, and find workarounds to keep projects moving, even when data tables are messy or undocumented.
- A storyteller: You make complex analysis digestible and actionable for everyone, from chefs to senior leadership.
- A builder: You thrive in the ambiguity of a pre-product/market fit environment and enjoy building infrastructure that makes teammates’ lives easier.
- Intellectually curious: You are focused not just on what happened, but why it happened.
- Customer-obsessed: You move beyond the data and think through the real-world experience of customers, building empathy for what delights and frustrates them.
- Technical proficiency: Mastery of Excel/GSheets and SQL is required. You should be comfortable using Python for data manipulation and Tableau for data visualization. Curiosity for and familiarity with AI tools is a major plus.
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Product Analytics, Data Analytics, or a highly quantitative Business Intelligence role. Experience in a high-growth startup, subscription/e-commerce, and/or FMCG environment is a major plus.
- Analytical rigour: You know how to structure an experiment, identify biases in data, and ensure that insights are statistically sound.
Above all, the team is looking for people who will make HelloFresh better. There are many different ways of developing skills, and diverse experiences are valued. Even if you don’t tick all the boxes but think you’d thrive in this role, your profile is still of interest.
