Join Bloom & Wild Group as an Inventory & Supply Planner within the Operations team, supporting end-to-end planning and digital inventory management for non-horticultural products.

šŸ› ļø Operations Team @ Bloom & Wild Group

The Operations team at bloomon and Bloom & Wild is split into two sub-teams, although in practice there is close collaboration between them on a daily basis:

  1. Production and supply chain - centralized around our two main warehouses near Amsterdam and Birmingham, the teams run sourcing, supply chain, production and fulfilment operations. They cover the full range of products we process in our own warehouses: flowers, plants, gifts, food & drinks, packaging material and much more. They optimise for customer satisfaction, On Time-In Full fulfilment, quality and associated COGS.

Fulfilment and Customer Operations

  • Managing our partially outsourced sourcing, production and fulfilment in the UK, optimising our delivery organisation in all countries we are active in and servicing our customers with the Customer Delight team. The team works closely with our partners to achieve operational excellence and optimise for quality, customer satisfaction, delivery performance, capacity and associated COGS.

As part of the Production and Supply Chain domain, the Central Operations Planning team is the oil in the machine of our full end-to-end supply chain. In order to ensure an optimal production and fulfilment process in our warehouses, your team sits in the middle between the forecasting team, the sourcing teams, the commercial country teams, logistics and the warehouse teams. By understanding the different and opposing needs of all teams, you help optimise maximum availability of our products to sell while minimising wastage on our fresh products. Through your coordination, we unlock and utilise the maximum flexibility in our supply chain in the most efficient way.

You will work alongside our Lead Supply Planner, who is responsible for peak planning as well as overseeing our team’s operational coordination, and our Planning Manager, who currently looks after our flower and plants planning. The role you are applying for is a new role created to cater for our growing range of non-horticultural products, such as non-flower gifts, vases and pots, where you’ll be responsible for end-to-end planning and digital inventory management.

To excel in this role you need a strong analytical mindset, great Excel and AI automation skills, and to pride yourself on being a meticulous executor and a rockstar in prioritisation. If this sounds like you, keep on reading!

āš™ļø What you'll be doing:

  • Be the central point of contact regarding our non-horticultural supply planning for all operational, supply chain and commercial teams, balancing opposing interests in the best way possible.

  • Convert our daily, weekly and monthly commercial demand forecasts into our supply and production planning systems.

  • Live gatekeep stock levels of all our products across all countries, brands and delivery days, ensuring that where possible we are never sold out but also do not incur significant wastage, in close cooperation with our commercial, procurement and warehouse teams.

  • Keep systems up to date operationally, for example uploading stock availability, keeping range plans updated in order tooling and solving availability issues due to product settings in our backend.

  • Master the complex dynamic of our expanding SKU mix with varying limited freshness shelf life across home & living, fresh food and drinks.

  • Solve out-of-stock situations, for example by upgrading individual customer orders, triggering resends and aligning with Customer Delight on customer communication.

  • Act as a key stakeholder and user of our stock management tool and various dynamic sheets used for supply chain cooperation.

  • Drive optimisation and continued automation of the related sheets and processes that you own, and collaborate closely with Product and Tech to optimise the pieces they own.

  • Ensure accurate stock management and reflection in our system landscape in close collaboration with our warehouses, investigate stock discrepancies and solve root causes.

  • Support the planning and execution of supply chain and warehouse operations in detail around bank holidays and our yearly peak sales periods, including Valentine’s, Easter, Mother’s Day and Christmas.

  • Support the Lead Supply Planner generally and provide holiday cover when required.

āœ… You’ll love this role if you…

  • Have 2-5 years of experience in a supply chain environment and working with inventory or supply/demand planning.

  • Have highly advanced analytical skills with an ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Have advanced MS Excel/Google Sheets knowledge and experience, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, INDEX MATCH, QUERY, IMPORTRANGE and similar tools.

  • Enjoy a structured week, with recurring yet challenging tasks.

  • Perform well under pressure and are good at prioritising.

  • Are a confident and comfortable user of AI for analyses and automation; this is a plus.

  • Have an eye for detail, making sure you’re 100% correct.

  • Have a problem-solving mindset and enjoy unravelling complex challenges.

  • Have great communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.

  • Have experience working with ERP/WMS systems; this is a plus.

  • Are fluent in English.

  • Are willing and able to travel to our warehouses at least once a week.

These are some of the skills and experience we think will enable success in this role, but please don’t worry if you are missing some of these.

🧭 Our ways of working

We really believe in the power of connection. For us that looks different depending on the team you work in. Some of our teams work together in person every day, whereas others may connect in person every quarter.

We also believe in flexibility that supports you, the work you do and your team. How much you work from home and from our office depends on a balance of those needs, and you’ll agree this with your manager.

Whether it’s through a shared project, a learning and development opportunity or an afterwork social, we trust our teams to make the right decisions about where and how they work each day.

We’re big on collaboration, empathy, knowledge sharing and growth, and our values drive our priorities every day:

  • Lead change for good: we have the guts to try new things and step up to do what matters most.

  • Think deeply, act swiftly: we make sure there’s thoughtful rationale behind our approach and always act swiftly to implement ideas.

  • Care wildly: we pour care and creativity into everything we do and pay attention to the things that make a difference.

  • Stay open, be curious: we’re open about what we’re doing and why, and we welcome challenges from each other.
