Data Scientist Fraud Detection

Do you want to build AI models that stop fraud in real time?

We are looking for a Data Scientist with 2–5 years of hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments, ideally in fraud detection, financial crime, or similar risk-based domains.

What you’ll be working on

You will design, build, and improve machine learning models that run in real time on banking transaction and network data.

Together with fraud analysts, you work on detection problems by analyzing large-scale datasets, identifying fraud patterns, engineering features, and improving model performance. Your work spans from data exploration to deployment and ongoing improvements. The focus is on delivering models that improve fraud detection in production environments.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a data scientist who enjoys solving real-world fraud problems with machine learning and works effectively in data-rich, production environments.

You collaborate closely with fraud analysts to develop and improve fraud detection capabilities. You are comfortable working with large, real-world datasets and focus on building practical, well-engineered solutions that perform in production.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need:

• A degree in a quantitative or data science–related field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence) or equivalent practical experience demonstrating strong analytical and machine learning capabilities
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments, ideally in fraud detection, financial crime, or similar risk-based domains
• Experience working with large-scale banking transaction and network data
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as pandas and scikit-learn
• Experience with applied machine learning lifecycle (including feature engineering, tuning, model evaluation)
• Comfortable working in a Linux (Ubuntu) environment and able to get up to speed quickly
• Comfortable working independently as well as in close collaboration with fraud analysts
• Strong English communication skills
