Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes an impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate.
Now we are on the hunt for our new Sales Intern to join our team in Amsterdam. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on sales experience within the grocery retail channel in a growing company, all while making a significant positive impact in the world of cocoa.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- Storytelling and sales pitch: learn to create sales presentations and promotional materials, such as flyers and promotional folders.
- Analysis: learn to analyze data and present actionable insights to the sales team.
- Project management: learn to manage and optimize a smooth innovation process for new products across our retail grocery and out of home customers.
- Customer communication: make sure our retail customers have the correct up to date information about our products.
- Stakeholder management: learn to collaborate with different internal departments, such as marketing, supply chain, and finance.
- New business development: join our sales team at a trade show and learn how to organize and staff Tony's booth. You will learn how to support new business development by going to various locations for tastings, visiting supermarkets to see how our chocolate is positioned on shelf, and trying to create second placement opportunities.
- Sales support: learn how to make presentations, write briefings, and work with our distributor partners.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Create relationships with our clients (supermarkets) to improve our visibility and create opportunities within stores.
- Support smooth launches when Tony’s introduces new products, including gathering internal information, creating sales presentations to sell the idea to retailers, creating perfect online visibility, and sending samples.
- Analyze historical sales data and distil actionable insights for the team to use.
- Make sure all our data and pack shots are timely and accurately in the database for our retail customers to use.
- Work together with the finance and logistics support on getting materials from the Netherlands to all the different international markets where Tony's are sold.
- Support creating sales presentations and promotional material, such as flyers and promotional folders, as well as briefing Tony's design team on the artwork creations.
