Tony’s Chocolonely is looking for a Social Media Intern to join the Benelux team in Amsterdam. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on marketing and communications experience in a growing impact company, while making a significant positive impact in the world of cocoa.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • How to support the social team by developing creative, high-impact content ideas, keeping the content calendar up to date, and producing channel-appropriate posts and videos.
  • How to build hands-on skills in video editing (Premiere Pro, CapCut) and visual design (Photoshop, Canva), and learn to write captions and scripts in Tony’s tone of voice.
  • How to develop strong community-management skills by actively engaging with chocofans, responding to comments, spotting influencer opportunities, and helping maintain a fun, positive, and mission-driven presence across all NL social channels.
  • How to collaborate with internal and external partners — from Creative to Chocofancare — to support smooth and efficient content production, coordinating logistics, props, shoots, and deliverables.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Translate social and brand activities into impactful, creative, and channel-first content for owned platforms.
  • Produce engaging social videos and visual assets that support communication objectives in the Benelux, and sometimes beyond.
  • Prepare and support shoots by arranging props, coordinating logistics, and assisting on set when needed.
  • Write social copy that brings the mission to life in a fun, accessible, and engaging way.
  • Manage social communities by responding to comments, identifying opportunities for influencer PR, and helping strengthen relationships with chocofans.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, and Chocofancare to ensure smooth content creation and consistent messaging across channels.

Job requirements:

  • You’re studying for a relevant HBO/university degree, such as communications, marketing, media, or creative business, and looking to gain practical experience in a real-life social media and communications environment.
  • Raise the bar. Challenge yourself and team Tony’s to increase ambition and accomplish the mission. Make mistakes along the way and learn from them.

Here are the hard facts:

  • Starting on September 1st, you’ll be part of Tony's team for 6 months.
  • The team values being more in person than apart; this means flexibility is offered, with an average of 3 days a week in the Amsterdam office.
  • You’ll be living in the Netherlands and enrolled in a school for the duration of the internship.
