DNV Business Assurance is hiring a Food & Beverage Sales Area Manager – Supply Chain Assurance services to support business development of Supply Chain Assurance (SCA) services within the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry across the assigned territory (BENELUX, Germany, UK). The ideal candidate is a team player with strong sales skills, excellent market analysis capabilities, and a strategic mindset.

About the role

Experience in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry or auditing firms is a must.

Only applications from candidates who have previous experience offering second-party audit services and managing key clients in the F&B sector will be considered.

The position reports to the F&B Sales Manager Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the F&B market of the pertinent area to understand trends, general outlook, development opportunities, potential customers and competitors’ strategy.
  • Ensure the achievement of the individual sales targets assigned.
  • Implement sales actions through the development of prospects and existing F&B key customers.
  • Follow up leads and opportunities coming from different channels.
  • Ensure DNV visibility within the F&B industry.
  • Ensure strong pipeline management and accurate forecasting to support business planning and target achievement.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining a network of channels in the F&B industry to nurture lead generation activities.
  • Take part in local communication initiatives (external events, tradeshows, conferences, workshops, etc.).

About you / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in auditing services.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in the F&B industry.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Results-oriented, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the region and internationally.

Business Assurance is a unit of DNV where we are working with our customers towards verifying them if they are compliant with some particular rules. We are responsible for scheduling audits. We need to assign the right person with the right competences to conduct such an audit. And we are analysing and improving their processes. But sometimes we need to register some findings like observation, opportunity for improvement, or even non-conformities. I verify our clients' system management by observing them, how they work, how they produce. It's very interesting because we are delivering some additional information for our customers, what they cannot see or discover in their own systems. My work life as an auditor is completely different than employees who are working from the office every day. Because usually I'm travelling to our customers that are located in a different part of our country. Almost every week I work with different people in different companies.
