We have hotels in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Copenhagen and Reykjavik and we are working behind the scenes to conquer Europe.

We are currently looking for a Head of ICT to set up a structure that will support the next phase of growth.

About the role

The Head of ICT is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and management of CityHub’s entire technology stack. As a brand built on seamless digital experiences, this role is critical in ensuring our proprietary technology and infrastructure are scalable, secure, and innovative.

CityHub is a startup in an expansion phase, transitioning into a scale-up. With the aim to grow to ten hotels by 2029, the Head of ICT plays a vital role in building a robust ICT structure that can support this next phase of expansion. You will lead the ICT function, ensuring that our digital guest journey remains industry-leading.

The Head of ICT is part of the management team and works cross-functionally to align technology with overall business objectives. The position reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

ICT Strategy, Innovation & Scalability

• Define and execute the overall ICT and technology roadmap for all CityHub hotels and support office.
• Identify emerging technologies to enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency.
• Ensure the technical architecture is scalable to support the growth from four to ten hotels.
• Manage the ICT budget and ensure cost-effective technology investments.

Systems, Infrastructure & Security

• Oversee the development and maintenance of our proprietary booking and check-in systems.
• Ensure 100% uptime and reliability of hotel hardware, Wi-Fi networks, and IoT integrations.
• Own the relationship with external hardware and software vendors.
• Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols and data privacy compliance (GDPR) across the organisation.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Build and scale the internal ICT and development team as the company grows.
• Work closely with the Head of Commercial and Operations to ensure seamless digital-to-physical guest transitions.
• Present technical roadmaps, performance metrics, and security insights to the CEO and management team.
• Create a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence.

Experience & Skills

• Senior ICT leadership experience, preferably within hospitality or a high-growth tech environment.
• Proven track record in managing complex software integrations and ICT infrastructure.
• Experience in scaling technical teams in a startup or scale-up phase.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
• Excellent communicator, able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
