About this role

As a Marketing Data Scientist at Just Eat Takeaway.com, you will join a high-impact team dedicated to uncovering the true value of our marketing investments. You’ll work within our Global Marketing department, partnering closely with our measurement specialists to transform business questions into rigorous experimental designs.

Key components of the position

  • Design and implement statistically rigorous experimental frameworks to measure marketing incrementality across various channels.
  • Aim high by developing scalable causal inference models that provide deep technical insights into marketing performance.
  • Collaborate with measurement specialists to translate complex business problems into robust data science solutions.
  • Drive excellence by assessing and validating measurement solutions with advanced statistical techniques.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure data science models are integrated into production-ready, scalable systems.
  • Communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring our measurement strategy is understood and actionable.

What you will bring to the team

  • Advanced proficiency in causal inference methodologies (e.g., Synthetic Control, DID, IV) applied specifically to marketing incrementality.
  • Deep expertise in experimental design, including A/B testing and Geo-testing, across various marketing channels.
  • Strong statistical foundation when validating measurement solutions and assessing model performance.
  • Experience building and deploying scalable data science solutions in production environments using Python, R, and SQL.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of internal partners, effectively translating measurement strategy into technical execution.
  • Exceptional communication skills to explain complex statistical concepts to non-technical measurement specialists and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to independently lead project streams, build cross-functional relationships, and translate technical concepts for non-technical partners.
  • Familiarity with the media and marketing landscape.
