Peddler is building the next generation of urban delivery.

We operate a fast-growing, fully electric last-mile logistics network built for modern cities and modern commerce. As traditional delivery models come under pressure from rising costs, stricter city regulations, and growing demand for speed and flexibility, we are building the infrastructure that retailers, brands, and e-commerce platforms need.

We achieve this in collaboration with international partners who supply our city hubs, after which we handle the last-mile delivery with our electric fleet. To continue making the planet a greener place, we need great people. And those people need support from our amazing People team. In this role as HR Operations Specialist, you will ensure that our people are empowered to continue to make logistics a greener place.

What you'll do

  • You will be the primary contact person for any individual HR matter at Peddler. Any HR-related question will be handled by you in the way that works best for you.
  • Manage everything around payroll preparation - our external partner processes the payroll. However, you will bring all the points together (worked hours, changes, new employees) and always know what is going on in our team.
  • You will manage all necessary steps to maintain a great workforce from start to end - contracts, other documents, data in our system, on-/off-boardings, departures, and everything else you are probably familiar with.
  • We are a small team, so you will own our entire HR operations as if it were your own, for whatever comes your way!
  • Participate in HR communication, policy updates, and other measures to develop and maintain employee engagement.
  • You will focus on HR Projects to make our processes more efficient.
  • You will play an advisory role in individual people's cases and always stay close to them.
  • Be the baseline for the future HR Operations team - we plan to grow, so you can grow with us!

Job requirements

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. Our working language is English, but you will need Dutch for your everyday work.
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant work experience in HR Operations and Payroll assistance, ideally in the Netherlands.
  • You bring a high level of independence and the demonstrated ability to take the initiative - making a visible impact is your personal tap on the shoulder.
  • You bring strong relationship-building skills and a supportive approach.
  • You have worked with HR systems before.
  • You are familiar with google sheets.
  • You have experience managing payroll processes with external partners (NMBRS) and making sure everything falls into place.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with high-volume tasks and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • You feel comfortable as a one-person team and make independent decisions.
  • Applied knowledge in Dutch labor law and HR practises in your previous role(s).
