You’ll be the crucial bridge between our partners and internal teams, designing solutions that enhance in-hotel technology and translating business requirements into technical requirements with the support of our Tech Partners.

Your expertise in APIs, networks, and system design will be crucial in translating business needs into effective technical solutions. You'll play a key role in integrating diverse systems, designing innovative solutions, and addressing friction points or developing new features within existing in-hotel technologies. Your efforts will ensure smooth operations and enhance the guest experience.

You will determine multiple design alternatives, assessing these alternatives based on identified constraints (e.g. end-user experience, cost, schedule, usability, reliability, maintainability, availability, security etc), and help to select the most suitable options for implementation in line with our technology architecture and strategic directions. Additionally, you'll provide vital post-launch support, ensuring system reliability. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of in-hotel and in-room technology solutions, focusing on seamless integration and innovation.
  • Participate in complex migration projects and major change improvements.
  • Create technical solution designs based on an architectural framework.
  • Foster strong vendor relationships, ensuring service level agreement compliance and partnering on development projects to drive innovation in in-hotel and in-room technologies.
  • Validate the requirements and solution alternatives with the Tech roadmap, target architecture and tech strategic framework.
  • Develop comprehensive implementation and support documentation, including architectural diagrams, functional specifications, and testing protocols.
  • Participate in the development and execution of disaster recovery procedures.
  • Create and execute thorough product acceptance testing plans to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Provide guidance to the implementation teams on the selected solution, requirements and expected business value.
  • Deliver 2nd/3rd line support and incident management for in-hotel and in-room technology.
  • Recognize and improve processes in need of optimization.
  • When required, be available to provide on-site support for hotel openings and ongoing projects, which may include international travel.

Qualifications / skills

  • Extensive experience in digital technology or modern hospitality (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in disciplines related to digital technology).
  • Understanding of MACH architectures.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of hotel operations and standard systems.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as JSON APIs, SQL, authentication methods, and test automation.
  • Experience with large-scale migration projects and major change improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, with mature reasoning and strategic thinking.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
