As the Regional IT Manager, you will be the regional representative for all IT services and the first point of contact for new local/regional business demand. You will lead a team of onsite technical IT engineers, focusing on operations and maintenance of local IT systems and OT interfaces. You will identify and pursue cost-savings and continuous improvement opportunities, working with global IT teams to realize them. You will coordinate closely with global IT functions and other regional IT teams to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions aligned with the organization’s strategic vision. You are expected to participate in the regional business steering board and be a member of the IT Infrastructure & Operations management team, contributing to defining and implementing global IT policies, procedures, standards, and best practices across regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage key business & IT stakeholder demands, such as ITGC compliance, office move/development, and new technology.
  • IT run/operations cost controlling & optimization: regional IT budget ownership, planning and developing IT budgets for local plants/offices, obtaining competitive prices from applicable suppliers, and ensuring cost effectiveness.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle for the team, including performance management, goal setting, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and ensuring a positive and compliant work environment.
  • People leadership: mentoring, training, and providing clear career and personal development paths for IT Support staff across all locations in scope.
  • Support smooth IT operations in manufacturing plants and offices in the region, including user support, IT systems, domain services, communications, and connectivity.
  • Lead in crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems.
  • Drive KPI-based performance reviews on team performance in problem resolution and maintenance tasks to deliver best-in-class IT services.
  • Plan and execute local technology projects and system implementations; establish project scopes, goals, timelines, resources, and deliverables; track project progress.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT infrastructure and equipment, including asset and license management for all locations in the region.
  • Recommend IT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
  • Support implementation of new IT procedures in plants/offices; review and enhance existing procedures.
  • Work with other global regions and global teams to share knowledge, best practices, and solutions.

Education & Training

  • Bachelor or master’s degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline.
  • Knowledge of IT frameworks such as ITIL v3/v4, Agile, and project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of IT shared services models.
  • Broad knowledge of IT concepts (networking, cloud, security, applications).

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar country/regional IT management role.
  • Experience managing a large/remote/distributed regional IT support team.
  • Experience supporting and deploying centralized IT solutions at regional level.
  • Experience planning and executing technology projects and system implementations in manufacturing plants and offices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business orientation.
  • Progressive leadership experience within the IT field.
  • Manage 3rd party IT service providers for the IT operations portfolio, working with outsourcing partners, external partners, consultants, and vendors.
  • Ability to inspire, develop, coach, and mentor team members to achieve results.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and report against service improvement and transition targets.
  • Ability to align with other IT management stakeholders to ensure global infrastructure, security, and application strategy are implemented in the region.
  • Results-driven manager with knowledge of IT service delivery models (ITIL certification preferred).
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
