  • Set up, maintain, and improve laboratory equipment and test environments
  • Assemble and test coin cells and multi-layer pouch cells
  • Perform electrochemical, physical, and material analyses (e.g. cycling, EIS, SEM, XRF)
  • Develop and refine battery formation and conditioning protocols
  • Analyse results and translate findings into practical improvements and insights
  • Present results to internal teams and external partners
  • Contribute to innovation and intellectual property (IP) development

Requirements

Experience & expertise

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. materials science, chemistry, physics, or engineering)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in battery R&D or a similar environment
  • Hands-on experience with battery cell assembly and testing (coin and/or pouch cells)
  • Knowledge of electrochemical testing methods and material analysis techniques
  • Experience with or interest in advanced manufacturing processes (e.g. coating technologies)

Personal profile

  • Proactive and curious mindset, with a strong drive to innovate
  • Hands-on and practical, with the ability to organise and execute experiments independently
  • Analytical and critical thinker, able to translate data into insights
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
  • Fluent in English

What we offer

  • The opportunity to work on cutting-edge battery technologies with real impact on the energy transition
  • A role within a highly innovative and collaborative R&D environment
  • Exposure to both academic and industrial partners
  • A hands-on position where you can directly influence technology development
  • A competitive salary and benefits package
