Data Science Consultant - Hybrid Intelligence

Your role

As a Data Science Consultant at Capgemini Engineering, you will join our Hybrid Intelligence team, a unique group that bridges the gap between cutting-edge science and advanced technology. Our Hybrid Intelligence department is focused on solving complex, high-impact problems that top R&D teams in large enterprises face, particularly in industries such as pharmaceuticals, green energy, and manufacturing. We work on challenges where there are no blueprints, requiring innovative solutions developed in close collaboration with research teams.

In this exciting role, you will:

• Collaborate closely with scientific and technical clients to understand their unique challenges and deliver groundbreaking solutions that exceed their expectations.
• Apply your deep understanding of data science to solve real-world problems in the fields of AI, manufacturing, and R&D, while helping clients tackle some of the most critical issues of tomorrow.
• Engage in a variety of Data Science and R&D projects, where risk management, change control processes, and documentation are key aspects of your work.
• Use your strong analytical skills to translate complex technical concepts into understandable solutions for stakeholders, ensuring all project requirements are met effectively.
• Work on interdisciplinary projects that combine applied mathematics, AI, and scientific computing, delivering tangible solutions that drive innovation and create real business value.

Your profile

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A solid foundation in software development or Data Science, with specialized knowledge in AI, manufacturing, or R&D.
• A scientific or technical background, ideally with an MSc or PhD in a relevant field.
• Strong experience in solving complex technical problems and the ability to communicate sophisticated concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for working in the intersection of applied mathematics, AI, scientific computing, and software engineering.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing you to bridge the gap between technical teams and client needs, ensuring effective project delivery.
