This internship gives you the possibility to learn about the many aspects of a communication job in a large, international company. You can participate in different projects and have your own set of responsibilities. You will learn how to work agile within a communications team. You will have an assigned mentor, a more senior team member, who will help you navigate your internship including help to create and reach your personal growth goals. You will be surrounded by seasoned experts in multiple disciplines all open to support you and help you grow professionally.

Your role

As a successful communications intern, your assignment will be in one of the following area's; C&B (Communications and Brand) Digital Communication, C&B Editorial, Social Media Communications, C&B Business Communications Personal Health.

You’re the right fit if

• Currently studying towards your University Bachelor or Master in: Communications, Media & Design Communications, Social Media Communication, Public Relations
• Well-developed communication and collaboration skills (team player)
• Proactive attitude, able to work independently and familiar with all tools related to the Communications area, e.g. Photo and Video editing
• Willingness to further develop analytical and intellectual capabilities
• Previous internship and/or communications experience (e.g., group/association work, trainee positions, volunteer boards, etc.) required
• Have business fluency in English – for some positions Dutch might be required

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

We offer you

A non-stop growth opportunity within Communication but also within a global multinational company. In addition, we also want to renumerate you well for the opportunity. This includes:

• Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level and if you need to relocate to The Netherlands. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata.
• Housing compensation. Should you need to relocate to near our office, we’ll offer you a monthly allowance of €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. To be eligible, we’ll just ask for the rental contract from your landlord, and your usual home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time (for a one way trip).
• Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net as a monthly allowance.
• Paid holidays per internship term.
• The opportunity to buy Philips products at our Philips shop.
