Technical Project Manager/Engineering Lead

FrieslandCampina’s Global Supply Chain Projects team is looking for a Technical Project Manager / Engineer to deliver major CAPEX investments across our production sites in the Netherlands and Belgium. In this role, you lead capital projects ranging from €1–10M from concept to operational handover, or act as Engineering Lead on larger transformation projects ranging from €10-€100M. You combine strong technical expertise with project leadership and work closely with stakeholders across operations, engineering and external contractors.

Ce que nous demandons

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or packaging/process technology
• >5 years of experience in CAPEX projects (experience in food, pharma, or process industry is a plus)
• Solid technical foundation in packaging and/or process equipment, piping, instrumentation and construction
• Track record in delivering projects on time, within budget, and with a strong focus on safety & quality
• Experience with leading multidisciplinary teams and working on-site during construction/commissioning
• Familiarity with gate-based project methodologies (WWW, PPM, Principal Toolbox)
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Willingness to travel within NL/BE

As a Technical Project Manager / Engineer, you deliver capital investment projects from concept to operational handover.

For €1–10M projects, you will:

• Own the full project scope: business case, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning
• Lead daily project controls, risk management, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery

For larger €10–100M projects, you will:

• Serve as engineering lead
• Take responsibility for specific technical work packages under a Senior Project Manager
• Challenge design choices, coordinate contractors, and ensure compliance with safety & technical standards

You work closely with stakeholders across Operations, R&D, QA/SHE, Maintenance, and Commercial teams. You help maintain momentum, ensure alignment, and build strong relationships. You also coach colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of our project delivery processes.

You will join the Global Supply Chain Projects organization, responsible for CAPEX projects across more than 50 FrieslandCampina production sites. Your main focus area will be the Netherlands and Belgium. Projects range from equipment replacements to advanced processing and packaging installations.
The team is pragmatic, experienced, diverse, and committed to delivering long-term value for our operations.
