What you'll do

  • Lead, coach and grow a globally distributed team of Employee Relations (ER) Specialists across Europe, India, and the US.
  • Shape and deliver our Employee Relations strategy covering policies, processes, and guiding frameworks that help employees and managers navigate moments that matter.
  • Act as a trusted expert on performance management, organizational change, illness and prevention, wellbeing, conduct, and other ER topics in close partnership with our HR Legal team.
  • Lead the relationships with trade unions and works councils, handling relationship management, collective bargaining and consultation processes.
  • Assist with internal investigations within the framework of TomTom’s Code of Conduct, including support on HR recommendations and subsequent actions.
  • Partner with other People teams to improve our ER tools, content, and processes, making the experience simpler, clearer, and globally consistent.
  • Manage key external partners (such as outplacement, well-being partners and occupational health providers) to ensure high quality support for employees.
  • Stay ahead of employment law developments and ER trends across multiple countries.

What you'll need

  • 5-8 years of experience in Employee Relations, with strong hands-on case management in a multi-country environment.
  • 5-8 years experience in labor/industrial relations, with demonstrated experience partnering with European works councils and labor law requirements.
  • Experience leading and developing people, ideally across different locations.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, employment law, and ER best practices.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation/influencing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Law or a related field.
  • Fluency in English

What we offer

A competitive compensation package, of course.

Time and resources to grow and develop, including a personal development budget and paid leave for learning days, as well as paid access to e-learning resources such as O’Reilly and LinkedIn Learning.

Time to support life outside of work, with enhanced parental leave plus paid leave to care for loved ones and volunteer in local communities.

Work flexibility, where TomTom’ers, in agreement with their manager and team, use both the office and home to focus, collaborate, learn and socialize. It’s all about getting the best out of both worlds – we ask TomTom’ers to come to the office two days a week, and the remaining three are free to be worked in either location.

Improve your home office with a setup budget and get extra support with a monthly allowance.

Enjoy options to work from your home country and abroad for a set number of days each year, to visit family and friends, or to simply explore the world we’re mapping.

Take the holidays you want with a competitive holiday plan, plus an extra day off to celebrate your birthday.

Join annual events like our Hackathon and DevDays to bring your ideas to life with talented teammates from around the world.
