SenseGlove is offering an internship focused on Robot Machine Learning.
The goal of the SenseGlove R1 is to enable telerobotic control of robotic hands and collect high-quality robot interaction data. This data can then be used to train machine learning models that help robots learn tasks autonomously.
During this internship, you will work on combining imitation learning using the R1 glove with reinforcement learning techniques to teach a robot how to perform a practical task. An example application could be automating repetitive manual work such as laying and plugging in wires during car assembly.
The objective is to help develop a solution where the task can be performed automatically and be suitable.
Imitation/Reinforcement learning
Develop an approach using imitation learning and reinforcement learning to teach a model how to successfully plug cables into sockets for automated electronic assembly of cars.
Focus mainly on simulation-based evaluation, as most training and testing will be performed in simulation environments.
Machine perception can be temporarily ignored during development.
Contribute to building solutions that are intended for future real-world deployment.

That is why we are creating the SenseGlove; The SenseGlove provides the most natural interaction in virtual and augmented reality. With the SenseGlove virtual objects are brought to live, you can feel, touch and interact with them as if they are real.
The Sense Glove is an exoskeleton glove that enables touch in Virtual Reality. The Glove is originally developed as a medical device for hand rehabilitation. By measuring 16 degrees of freedom of the hand it accurately tracks the movement. Small servomotors will restrict the motion of your hand when a virtual object is touched. The exoskeleton can be kept as small as possible due to the Z linkages that fold inward, all natural movements of the hand can be performed when the glove is worn.
