Medior Embedded Software Engineer – Apeldoorn – ALTEN Nederland

The Position

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Medior Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Apeldoorn. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software solutions for innovative technical systems.

As Embedded Software Engineer, your main tasks will include:

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C
• Work closely with hardware engineers and system architects to deliver high-quality and reliable firmware that supports connected and energy-efficient solutions
• Implement and optimize communication protocols
• Contribute to system integration and validation activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, systems, testing)
• Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems issues
• Document software design and technical specifications

We are interested in engineers with experience in one or more of the following:

• C
• CAN
• C++

Your profile

• English language (required full work proficiency)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded software development
• Ability to work onsite 2–3 days per week
