Platform Engineer II

The Platform Team is the backbone of our ecosystem. You’ll be responsible for keeping our apps, website, and API scaling seamlessly while ensuring our developers have the tools they need to ship fast. You won't just be "keeping the lights on" as you’ll be building a resilient, secure, and cost-effective stage for the world’s best cultural content.

Your Impact

We have big goals for the coming quarters. In your position you will contribute on the following topics:

• Tooling: Making sure our pipelines run smoothly and we introduce new technologies where it makes sense.

• Monitoring: Have good visibility that our systems are healthy and remain healthy.

• Security: Involved with security audits, triaging issues, patching vulnerabilities, and responding to reports.

• Reliability: Grasp of the basics of SRE mindset.

• Disaster Recovery: Building, testing, and automating backups. You’ll create and validate the playbooks that ensure we can recover from any scenario with confidence.

What are we looking for

• Basic experience with programming / scripting languages and debugging.

• A mindset that is curious, keen on learning and keeping up with all relevant technologies.

• You were involved with high-scale (distributed) systems and you understand the nuances of horizontal scaling vs vertical scaling, traffic management and monitoring.

• Any experience with tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Gitlab), automation (CI/CD).

• Preferred experience with any cloud provider.

• You have a passion for making the invisible visible through robust monitoring and logging.

• Living in the Netherlands or willing to relocate.

📍This is a hybrid role working 2-3 per week at our HQ in Amsterdam
