Reporting to the Director of Compliance & External Reporting, this role supports the execution of group audit, statutory reporting, compliance, and internal control activities across a multinational organisation.

This is a senior individual contributor role with clear ownership and exposure, well suited to a technically strong finance professional who performs effectively in a fast-paced, international environment and is comfortable working closely with external auditors and senior internal stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

Group Audit, Statutory Reporting & Compliance

  • Support the execution and continuous improvement of group audit, global statutory reporting, and compliance processes across all legal entities.
  • Coordinate statutory audits across Europe, the Americas, and APAC, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, managing planning, documentation, issue resolution, and follow-up.
  • Support annual and interim group audit cycles, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables.

Regulatory Oversight & Technical Accounting

  • Maintain oversight of statutory filing requirements, deadlines, and jurisdictional obligations.
  • Support the maintenance of the global compliance and statutory reporting calendar.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting analyses and memoranda related to complex transactions and accounting policy matters.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, assessing impact and supporting implementation.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Support the design, documentation, and ongoing improvement of internal controls related to statutory reporting and compliance.
  • Perform and coordinate internal control testing, including walkthroughs and design and operating effectiveness testing, as required.
  • Identify control gaps and support remediation efforts in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement through standardisation, documentation, and selective automation of processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Accounting, Tax, Legal, IT, and external service providers to ensure alignment on compliance and reporting matters.
  • Act as a trusted technical resource within Finance on statutory reporting, compliance, and internal control topics.

What You'll Bring:

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, external reporting, compliance, or audit.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, RA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Big 4 audit experience strongly preferred, ideally with multinational clients.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAPs.
  • Proven experience coordinating multi-entity statutory audits and group audit processes.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Clear, structured communicator with experience engaging external auditors and senior finance stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and audit or compliance tools.
