We are looking for someone to join us in our IT Department as Business Applications Senior Specialist - Service - SF Service. You will be responsible for the specific business capability in an IT domain to deliver functional designs (data, process, technology), driving IT solutions and supporting IT Operations.

You will be responsible for the specific business capability in an IT domain to deliver functional designs (data, process, technology), driving IT solutions and supporting IT Operations.

Responsibilities

As Business Applications Senior Specialist - Service SF Service, your key responsibilities will be to:

  1. Design and support with solution requirements:
    1. Translate solution requirements into solution designs; independently assess the impact of the IT solution with the business applications to provide estimates on effort, costs and timelines for project proposals. Identify solution risks to direct related test plans.
    2. Follow and protect the design principles, such as no customizations, design for flexibility.
    3. Drive the delivery and implementation of the resulting IT solutions in the business.
    4. Drive to manage functional template boundaries (data, process, technology) and agree deviations with Solution Control.
    5. Be recognized as technical and functional expert in their respective working modules by business.
  2. Be part of change management/user adoption of the solution, by providing expertise of specific BU/function e2e business process. Drive project to ensure that new features are adopted appropriately.
  3. Support production support:
    1. Participate in incident analysis and problem resolution where expertise is required and/or where the issues are complex or impact multiple processes (3rd line consultancy and 4th line resolution).
    2. Participate in trend analysis of all incidents and Root Cause Analysis of Major/Top incidents.
    3. Drive resulting improvements preventing reoccurrence by either technical refactoring that can be absorbed in project releases or propose changes for budget approval.
  4. Support compliancy controls for the delivery of applications with evidence:
    1. Zero deficiency target.
    2. Adhere to IT General Control (ITGC) & IT Application Control (ITAC) process/execution.
    3. Assess the materiality of any related deficiency incident and ensure implementation of mitigation and remediation. Ensure the correct production and collation of evidence.
    4. Apply data migration, release management, and SOD/UAM controls.
    5. Provide consultancy on the ownership of controls and support the testing of these controls to IT Operations as required.

Contribution:

  • Contribute and adhere to solutioning policies, principles and standard.
  • Contribute to the Domains and Communities of Practice.
  • Serve as best practice/quality resource within Domain, guide team members in resolving complex issues, train/mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

For this role, you will need to have:

  • Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field. Masters Degree is a plus.
  • Good IT delivery skills.
  • Experience in IT Operations and Compliance.
  • Working knowledge of the relevant Canon IT applications (like Oracle application suites (EBS, Service, Reporting), SFDC, custom applications (CPQ) and legacy systems, proven by certification/track record).
  • Understanding of and experience with best practice methodologies.
  • Is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization.
  • Provides specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise.
  • Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Over 5 years’ experience technical and functional in IT, in relevant domain (Sales, Service, Marketing, SCM, Finance, HR, etc.).
