Frontend Engineer

As a Frontend Engineer at Channable, you will join the Website Team and take ownership of Channable’s public-facing web platform. Your primary focus will be to build, optimize, and scale a high-performing marketing website that clearly communicates our value and converts visitors into customers.

You will collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Design, and Growth stakeholders to prototype and ship new website features based on user insights and business objectives. From ideation to launch, you will help bring new functionality to life and ensure a seamless experience across our web presence.

Your job

• Turn business and marketing goals into high-performing, user-focused website experiences that work well across devices and drive measurable growth.
• Critically evaluate functional requirements and propose improvements that enhance usability and conversion.
• Build scalable, maintainable, and well-tested frontend code with strong attention to performance and quality.
• Convert wireframes and design concepts into polished UI while adhering to and evolving our design system.
• Own technical SEO fundamentals (semantic HTML/Markdown, structured content, Core Web Vitals, page speed optimization). Shape and maintain CMS schemas to ensure well-structured content.
• Maintain a strong understanding of UX and interaction principles, especially within a marketing website context (conversion flows, landing pages, performance optimization).
• Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and engineers to deliver cohesive experiences.
• Contribute to frontend standards and support initiatives where website and product experiences intersect.

• Frontend: typescript, react, next.js, apollo, css-in-js, jest, rest, webpack, babel, eslint
• Other: hygraph, vercel, haskell, python, postgresql, redis

Who are you?

• 2+ years of experience building frontend applications with React.
• 3+ years of experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and recent hands-on experience with TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs and how frontend systems integrate with backend services.
• Experience working on marketing websites or high-traffic web platforms is a strong plus.
• You think in terms of user journeys, clarity, and conversion, not just components.
• You take initiative and ownership, and you are comfortable operating in a cross-functional environment.
• You care deeply about both user experience and developer experience.
• You enjoy experimenting with new tools and continuously refining your craft.
• You are curious, pragmatic, and motivated to contribute to the continued growth of Channable.

• You are available for at least 32 hours a week.
• You have an EU citizenship or a valid permit to work in the Netherlands. Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
