Your new work environment

As Executive Assistant, you will primarily support and report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Ahold Delhaize. In addition, you will provide operational, organizational, and strategic support to the VP of Cyber Defense Engineering and the VP of Strategy & Transformation within the Global Cyber Security organization.

Tasks are performed in a highly demanding and international environment which requires a full-time, energetic, flexible, professional, discrete and service-oriented assistant with excellent English language skills, who is also a real team player. You will be given the freedom and responsibility to take ownership of your work and broaden your horizons by working together with knowledgeable colleagues from different countries who have an abundance of expertise in many areas. We will continually invest in you and help you build on your talents and skills for the future. As part of the Tech function at Ahold Delhaize, you will collaborate with 8 Executive Assistants to help ensure smooth operations in the company's largest division.

Key responsibilities

Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:

  • Acts as a first point of contact for questions from employees and external parties to the manager/department, and answers or forwards these questions
  • Anticipate the needs of the team and proactively manage administrative tasks to optimize productivity and effectiveness
  • Monitor, coordinate and prioritize incoming requests, including confidential and sensitive emails and correspondence, ensuring timely responses and appropriate follow-up actions
  • Arrange international travel: flights, hotels, transfers and preparing itineraries

  • Serve as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, maintaining efficient and professional communication and confidentiality

  • Checking incoming invoices and, if necessary, arranging for corrections to invoices

  • Act as the back up for the Executive Assistant to the CTO during holidays and/or sick leave.

What’s in it for you?

Aside from what we ask of you in this role, we also have a great deal to offer you: plenty of growth opportunities and various cross-brand career options; flexible working hours; a hybrid working model (we ask you to spend at least 50% of your working time at the office); and the chance to drive meaningful change on a global scale. You can look forward to a good work-life balance, and the chance to work in an inclusive environment that wholeheartedly encourages growth and welcomes you just the way you are.
