Unit Description

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a central unit responsible for various tasks that naturally fit within a modern risk management function in a financial institution. As Atradius’ risk management function, we provide information, tools, and advisory services to the company and have links into the entire organization. Corporate Risk Management (CRM) is a unit within ERM whose role entails to measure and explain Atradius’ risk profile and size solvency needs now and going forward. We maintain risk governance and controls and facilitate the management of non-financial risks. We develop, maintain, and operate quantitative models, tools and dashboards, analyze business development, perform scenario analyses and stress tests, maintain the risk appetite framework, determine capital requirements, perform the ORSA process and report on aggregate risk. We are now looking for a (Senior) Quantitative Risk & Reporting Analyst.

Job Description

In your role, you will be a key contributor to and user of ERM’s analytical tool kit for determining, analysing, projecting, and stressing financial positions, the risk profile, and solvency needs.

You will maintain, improve, automate, and operate the tools and methods to quantify and report the risks the company is exposed to. Based on established reports as well as exploratory data analysis, you will identify and understand causalities, trends, business mechanics, and ultimately the risks we are facing. You will not only facilitate efficient reporting, calculations and projections, but also help explaining and making sense of results from a business perspective to other stakeholders.

With your work, you will strengthen ERM’s advisory capacity as well as improve quality and efficiency of our internal and external reporting. You will be closely collaborating with other specialists and units and be embedded in an international and culturally diverse team of quantitative, financial, and risk management experts. This will allow you to support the business where it relies on your expertise. You will have opportunities for personal and professional development. Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • You are combining business understanding with data analytics and reporting. You have a degree in a relevant discipline, such as – but not limited to – finance/ accountancy, data/ computer sciences, mathematics/ statistics, or economics. You can identify and tell the story behind the numbers. Experience with regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II or Basel III, as well as detailed understanding of the financial figures of an insurance company are considered a plus.
  • You have solid experience with Microsoft Office (esp. Excel). You know relational databases (e.g. Oracle) and SQL. You are eager to understand how business processes are reflected in databases.
  • You bring excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including coding knowledge and experience in process automation. Prior experience with numerical/statistical programming languages such as R or Python is considered a plus.
  • You can work independently but you also enjoy working with an international team, sharing your skills and being a team player.
  • You feel comfortable communicating content to different audiences.
  • You are committed, willing to take responsibility, and able to work simultaneously on various assignments towards tight deadlines. You are able to manage your time and that of others.
  • Fluency in English is required for the position.
