Over de rol

Senior Business Analyst

What will you do as Senior Business Analyst?

Brand New Day is transforming its data and regulatory reporting capabilities to align with our strategic pillars: growth, efficiency and professionalization. We are building a BCBS239-compliant data warehouse, implementing a regulatory reporting tool and a risk management tool. Both are designed to replace manual processes, ensure control and create a scalable, automated and audit-ready framework for Finance, Risk and Balance Sheet Management (BSM).

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will drive this change by translating complex regulatory and business requirements into actionable solutions. You will ensure our data warehouse, reporting and risk tools are compliant, efficient and scalable, analyzing gaps and designing and automating processes to replace manual work with controlled, traceable and validated systems.

Your key activities and responsibilities in bullets:

  • Facilitate cross-functional requirements workshops (BSM, Treasury, Risk, Regulatory) and document audit-ready functional and data requirements with full traceability across design, testing, and decisions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and SMEs to validate feasibility, perform impact analyses, and define target operating models aligned with ICAAP/ILAAP and reporting expectations.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies (system, integration, regression, UAT), ensuring functional and regulatory coverage.
  • Coordinate SME and BA participation in testing, manage defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution.
  • Maintain complete test documentation and evidence, and assess readiness for deployment.

What you’ll receive from us

  • A pleasant salary between € 6000 en € 8000 and pension accrual on top.
  • 25 vacation days + 1 extra day off for celebration!
  • The option to work from home two days per week and a week remote (two weeks for expats).
  • Training budget of €1,000 per year to stay up to date in your field.
  • € 25 per month benefit budget for 1,001 fun or useful things (via Alleo).
  • Every week a fully catered lunch at the company’s expense. On other days, you’ll need to arrange your own, but no worries. We’re right next to the Amsterdamse Poort, so you’ll have plenty of choices.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who works in a precise and structured way, with strong analytical skills and the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous requirements. You communicate proactively and clearly, take ownership of your work, and are able to drive progress independently. With a quality-driven mindset and a sharp eye for detail, you ensure that work is delivered thoughtfully and to a high standard.

Your role requires strong stakeholder engagement across the Data, Finance, Risk Management and BSM teams to foster collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Financial product characteristics and balance sheet behaviour
  • ICAAP/ILAAP implications for data and reporting
  • Requirements elicitation and structuring
  • Audit-proof documentation (process and data flows, data governance)
  • PowerBI dashboarding
  • Facilitation across senior stakeholders
  • Test methodologies and frameworks
  • Regulatory and financial data validation principles

Nice-to-haves
