Your impact

As a Senior Retention Marketeer, your mission is clear: making it an absolute no-brainer for customers to stay with Vandebron. You play a key role in increasing Customer Lifetime Value and reducing churn by developing smart, customer-first retention strategies that support our commercial and sustainability goals.

Working closely with a retention team of four, you combine strategy and execution. You translate company direction into impactful initiatives, use data to uncover opportunities, and continuously test and improve campaigns that strengthen customer loyalty.

This is a role where ownership, innovation, and collaboration come together - helping Vandebron grow sustainably while delivering meaningful customer experiences.

In this job, you’ll report to Cees Polak, Manager Growth. And internally, your job title will be Base Marketeer.

What you’ll do

  • You are a retention expert!
  • Translate Vandebron’s company strategy into a clear retention vision and roadmap, with ownership of churn reduction and lifetime value growth
  • Develop and execute data-driven retention initiatives, from ideation to implementation
  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to create and optimize personalized customer journeys and campaigns
  • Apply a test-learn-accelerate mindset by experimenting with new retention tactics and continuously improving performance
  • Collaborate closely with Brand, CX, Proposition, Product, Growth, and Data Analytics teams to align priorities and maximize impact
  • Guide and challenge the retention team by providing direction, structure, and clarity on goals
  • Manage stakeholders across teams to ensure alignment, focus, and execution power
  • Shape a forward-looking vision on retention that positions Vandebron as a leader in smart energy experiences

What you bring

  • 10+ years of working experience, whereof 8+ years of experience in retention marketing within energy or telecom
  • Strong experience creating retention strategies and translating it into hands-on initiatives such as churn reduction, segmentation, and personalized campaigns
  • Data-driven mindset, with experience working on churn models, performance insights, and experimentation
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working cross-functionally
