Are you excited to be part of our dynamic team where business meets technology? Driving Rituals' growth through innovative tools within our Tech & Data department.

As part of our Tech & Data (T&D) team, we are looking for a Business Analyst - Sustainability to join our sustainability domain and help shape the future of Rituals.

Within T&D, we aim to empower other Rituals departments by managing projects across our technology landscape and meeting the growing demand for sustainability data. This is a challenging yet highly impactful role that requires a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, system interactions, and data management. Since sustainability at Rituals is driven by data, being data-savvy is essential.

You will contribute to our ambitious and evolving sustainability domain by:

  • Selecting and implementing new software solutions
  • Continuously improving existing systems
  • Ensuring accurate and comprehensive data for internal and external sustainability reporting

Meet the team

You will work in the Tech & Data (T&D) department, in the Finance, Legal, Compliance and Sustainability team. The main collaboration is with the Product and Project Manager Sustainability, but you will also collaborate closely with business stakeholders from various departments, such as Impact, Innovation and Sourcing, and with other T&D colleagues, such as Data Analysts, Engineers and Architects.

Key Responsibilities

Data & Systems

  • Consolidate sustainability data from core business processes (products, packaging, supply chain, sales) to build robust data products.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainability data products used for reporting.
  • Ensure accurate ingestion of data into sustainability systems.
  • Maintain high data quality standards, because wrong data means wrong reporting!

Collaboration & Communication

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into clear requirements or instructions for engineers.
  • Liaise with Tech and Data teams (external software vendors, technical developers, Business Domain architects, Solution architects and other Business Analysts) to design, test and implement future-proof solutions that meet business needs.
  • Support the creation of end-user documentation and contribute to training materials.
  • Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Conceptual Thinking & Data Analysis

  • Compare business wishes with technical constraints and requirements, and deliver accurate, pragmatic solutions.
  • Explore currently used or needed datasets and available datasets to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Map end-to-end data flows and document system interactions, including dependencies and risks.
  • Maintain and adjust configuration in sustainability tooling, based on business requests.

Bring all of you

A detail-oriented, analytical professional who thrives on tackling complex data challenges and collaborating across teams. You take ownership, don’t hesitate to act, adapt quickly, and bring clarity to intricate business and system interactions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to live and making a visible impact in a fast-paced environment like Rituals.

Must-haves:

  • 2+ years of work experience as a business analyst
  • Skilled in analysing data, systems and processes
  • Ability to create clear business requirements and functional specifications
  • Technical affinity with experience in Excel, including Power Querys
  • Affinity with sustainability: you want to dedicate your time and knowledge to making Rituals more sustainable

It’s a plus if you have knowledge of the sustainability domain, such as CSRD reporting, the GHG protocol, Recyclability assessments and EPR fees.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach, and not afraid to have fun while doing it!
  • Automation mindset / process optimalisation

Benefits of working at Rituals

  • Unique opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • Staff discount on Rituals products
  • Attractive bonus
  • Flexible working hours tailored to your personal rhythm
  • Company & team events
