The Employee Services Generalist is part of the Talent Service Delivery team based in Amsterdam, which designs and delivers the infrastructure and operations to provide an outstanding employee experience throughout Netflix employees' full lifecycle in the local market.
This hire will be a key player, interacting with employees daily to address their employment questions and needs. The role supports the main functions within the Employee Services Generalist team: onboarding, offboarding, mobility, leaves of absence & benefits. This position will be expected to be highly independent and proactive in identifying and implementing positive improvements in the employee experience, aligned with our culture, in the local market and across the region.
The team's role encompasses scaling Netflix's global talent organization, enabling Talent partners to focus on strategic initiatives by fostering an empowering culture, driving operational excellence, and ensuring a proactive approach to meeting employee needs with a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver services at key moments in the employee lifecycle, such as onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence, and international transfers.
- Collaborate with the Global Talent Operations Centers (GTOC) to provide guidance, solutions, and specialized insights to establish standardized services throughout the organization, all while adhering to employment laws and regulations. GTOCs are our employees’ first point of contact; however, Generalists are key partners to enable excellence in overall service delivery.
- Develop and maintain documentation to maintain a robust knowledge management base and service catalogue, in collaboration with internal partner teams (Payroll, Benefits, Mobility, Talent Acquisition), to continuously improve processes and services.
- Lead or participate in regional and global projects, partnering with the Talent Operations team to document new processes and train delivery teams.
- Partner with our Talent and Employment Legal teams to review compliance requirements and their implementation. You ensure adherence to compliance regulations while embracing balanced and practical decision-making.
- Drive process improvement efforts that can further enhance our service delivery by evaluating and assessing existing processes, using data-informed insights.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience); relevant HR certifications are a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, HRBP, or similar roles.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex processes, projects, and initiatives.
- Experience working with Workday.
- Experience using Zendesk or another CRM is desirable.
- Strong grasp of employment laws and regulations in the Netherlands, especially the Gatekeeper Act (‘Wet Verbetering Poortwachter’).
- Understanding of data analysis tools and techniques.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Dutch is required.
