You connect people, processes and performance. As a Contract Manager Manpower, you make sure our suppliers deliver what we promise to the world. From contract management to stakeholder collaboration — you help build a resilient organisation.

The Position

You are the connecting link between Van Oord and our manpower suppliers. Once a contract is in place, you step in to ensure the agreements we make are implemented smoothly and deliver value. You work closely with our Category Managers for Temp Labour, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Engineering and Professional Services, and help shape a strong performance culture across our supplier base.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the point of contact for internal stakeholders on contractual matters and act as a “middleman” ensuring timely review, approval and reconciliation of variations
  • Support Category Managers in negotiation and contract drafting
  • Provide contract visibility and awareness to internal teams
  • Ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal and guide implementation
  • Contribute to change management of processes and supplier improvement plans

Your Impact

You ensure our suppliers deliver on their promises. By monitoring KPIs, managing risks and driving improvements, you make sure the services we rely on — from flexible labour to engineering consultants — meet our high standards. You support internal teams with advice and training, and bring clarity to complex contracts. Your work builds trust, reduces friction and unlocks value.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Analyse & evaluate supplier and stakeholder performance
  • Drive improvements with key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Develop and execute performance measurement plans
  • Recommend changes to practices and monitor service quality

About You

You have a service-driven mindset, strong communication skills and a talent for managing expectations. You enjoy working independently while contributing to a collaborative team. You are well-organised and committed to quality. You bring:

  • A completed education at HBO level or higher
  • Experience with reviewing contracts and terms & conditions
  • A proactive, accurate and responsible work style
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • A persuasive, people-oriented approach with a drive to outperform

We Offer

A role where you make a real difference in the backbone of our business.

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience
  • Travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home office allowance (€2,40 per day)
  • 32 leave days per year (based on a full-time)
  • Variable bonus
  • Pension scheme
  • Collective health insurance (optional)
  • Flexible working from home policy, max 2 days a week when working on a full-time basis
  • Extensive learning and (personal) development possibilities, including a wide range of online courses via Goodhabitz
  • You can join communities, like Young Van Oord, Van Oord Women and the Van Oord staff association
  • We organise several (sport) events, e.g. winter sports, weekend of sailing, cycling and a motorcycle tour
