GKN Aerospace is looking for a Site Procurement Manager to lead the procurement team supporting operations of Fokker Landing Gear in Papendrecht.

As a Site Procurement Manager, you own the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) performance, you elevate and measure supplier delivery and quality performance, and you shape the procurement strategy that powers our production line. Acting as the engine behind our operational excellence, you deliver cost-effective solutions through an innovative supply chain supporting and leading team members to deliver high performance levels. As a key member of the site’s Leadership Team, you lead the Operational Procurement team and you partner with our global and local organization functions to deliver exceptional results, for today and for the future.

You will lead a team of approximately 25 FTE’s, consisting of senior and operational buyers, operational managers, the supplier quality team and dual sourcing. You report directly to the Site Director.

Fokker Landing Gear

Landing Gear, part of GKN Fokker Aerospace, is a recognized specialist in landing gear and related systems. We focus on the design and development, production and assembly of complete landing gears, as well as the repair and reassembly of systems already in use. In doing so, we work on the most famous aircraft and helicopters; think of the Apache combat helicopter, the F-35 Lightning II (JSF), the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and the multipurpose NH90 maritime combat helicopter.

What You'll Do

  • Role model our “Great Place to Work” culture principles—coaching, communicating, and building a performance excellence mindset.
  • Provide nearby management support; develop your team’s operational needs and long-term expertise.
  • Champion a world-class, healthy and safe working environment—applying GKN Aerospace HSE policies and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including Ethics & Compliance and international contracting regulations (e.g., ITAR).
  • Execute and continuously improve P2P processes to hit operational targets.
  • Organize operational reviews (e.g., KPI dashboards, targets, compliance), including business reviews with stakeholders.
  • Be the escalation point for supplier issues; lead active supply chain risk management and mitigation.
  • Achieve targets across supplier delivery, supplier quality, raw material inventory, and invoice management.
  • Manage contract implementation within the site, including relevant transfers of work/products.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of supply chain change programs within the BL scope.
  • Interface with BLs across programs and bids throughout the lifecycle.
  • Work closely with Commodity teams to flow down BL/program requirements and ensure supply solutions meet targets.
  • Proactively identify and lead change opportunities to improve business performance.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • 7+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing, with 2+ years in a leadership/management role.
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of the aerospace industry and associated contracting requirements – preferably defense – and awareness of commercial trends would be strongly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills, ability to influence suppliers to deliver on time and overcome challenges that impact production and productivity.
  • Proven ability to lead supplier quality improvements and development against scorecards.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across the supply chain and within cross-functional teams.
  • Ambitious, customer- and results-focused, honed communication skills and environmental awareness.
  • Background in process development and implementation.
  • Experience in an international supplier base.
  • Experience in leading major supply-side change programs or NPI projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to build supplier network relationships and understand supplier processes.
  • Track record of building performance excellence organizations and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English (speaking and reading).
  • Flexibility to travel on a need by basis.

What We'll Offer

We are committed to offer you a challenge but also a great opportunity to learn and grow. You will be also offered a seat at the leadership table, with direct impact on production outcomes and supplier performance. Next to this, you will be connected to a global network and you will have the opportunity to shape procurement strategy and standards. Lastly, you will be joining a company whose culture is built on safety, ethics, inclusion and continuous improvement. Your goal will be contributing to the future of flight!
