As a Procurement Controller, you are the financial business partner to our global Procurement organization. You support the realization of financial objectives through world‑class budgeting, planning, reporting, and insightful performance analysis. You will work across Finished Goods, Raw Materials, and Indirect Procurement teams and collaborate closely with Operations Controlling, Markets, Group Finance, and the Controlling CoE.
This role is critical in shaping data‑driven decision‑making within Procurement and strengthening our end‑to‑end supply chain performance.
This role reports into the Head of Operations Controlling and has a global scope.
About the role
Planning & Control
- Own the planning & control cycle for your Procurement scope.
- Drive the annual operating plan, forecasting cycles, and monthly outlook updates.
- Support multi year scenario planning and long term value creation.
Performance & Reporting
- Deliver insightful results analysis: actuals vs forecast, variances, year over year trends, FX exposure, and volume/mix effects.
- Enhance and modernize management reporting to improve transparency and decision making.
- Build aligned Procurement KPIs in collaboration with Controlling CoE and Analytics teams.
Business Partnering
- Act as a co pilot to Procurement Leads, challenging assumptions and supporting achievement of financial targets.
- Support Working Capital improvement performing analysis on payment terms.
- Contribute to Gross Margin improvement validating product simplification business cases and tracking successful deployment.
- Provide financial modeling and business case support for strategic Procurement initiatives.
Operations Controlling & Month End Close
- Execute accurate month end closing activities, ensuring proper accruals and transparency.
- Sign off on results with clear explanations of variances.
- Support monthly business reviews, gross margin analysis, and strategic reporting.
Tools, Processes & Transformation
- Lead Procurement finance methodologies such as TCO analysis, negotiation savings validation, benchmarking, and sensitivity modeling.
- Build standardized decision support tools (e.g., make or buy, footprint, dual sourcing).
- Contribute to Operations Controlling transformation and Procurement strategy deployment.
- Use SAP S4, SAC, Power BI, and advanced Excel to automate and enhance reporting.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar (CMA/CFA preferred).
- Relevant experience in Finance — ideally in Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Operations.
- Strong SAP S4 and BI tools experience (SAC, Power BI).
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with data platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with hands on approach.
- Ability to influence without hierarchical authority.
- Fluent in English.
