xxllnc develops software solutions for government organizations. Our customers expect the highest standards in quality, privacy, and information security. To support our growth and continuous improvement, we are expanding our Security & Compliance team with a Compliance Officer.

Over de rol

As a Compliance Officer at xxllnc, you combine the roles of project lead, advisor, and controller. You play a central role within the S&C team and support the organization in complying with frameworks, audits, customer requirements, and legal obligations.

You are responsible for part of our compliance program, including quality management, risk management, ESG (environmental, social, and governance compliance), and privacy.

You operate in an environment where prioritization, pragmatic thinking, and maintaining oversight are essential. You work meticulously where necessary, without getting lost in details. A positive and creative mindset is important to find solutions for complex or new challenges within a growing and integrating organization.

This role offers you the opportunity to drive meaningful positive change. You help xxllnc comply with complex internal and external requirements, support colleagues in improving their processes and performing their work effectively, ensure management has the right information to make informed decisions, and provide both solicited and unsolicited advice on the topics under your responsibility.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and improve our quality, ESG, risk management, and third-party management programs.
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Translate compliance goals into clear roadmaps and structured projects.
  • Design and perform non-technical controls and internal audits.
  • Coordinate external audits and compliance assessments.
  • Reduce unnecessary compliance overhead.
  • Support company-wide risk identification and mitigation.
  • Help teams work independently and efficiently on security and quality.
  • Translate complex requirements into clear, practical policies and procedures.
  • Support international expansion within Europe (initial focus: Nordics).

You help teams and leadership to:

  • Balance regulatory requirements with innovation.
  • Choose sustainable and efficient solutions.
  • Focus on real security and quality improvements—not bureaucracy.
  • Meet customer, regulatory, and legal requirements.

Over jou

You are curious, proactive, and able to quickly understand complex topics. You create clarity in environments with multiple stakeholders, systems, and sometimes competing requirements.

What you bring:

  • Master’s level thinking and working ability.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience (more for a medior role).
  • A pragmatic, results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Interest in SaaS and a basic understanding of software development.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex topics.
  • Experience or affinity with project leadership.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of information security or software development processes.
  • Experience with international compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO-based standards).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to align different audit requirements.

Onze beloftes

  • A great hybrid working environment (working from home and from our Amsterdam office), where your ideas and input are valued.
  • Flexible working hours with a high level of autonomy.
  • The opportunity to focus on what you do best, with plenty of room to further develop your skills.
  • A competitive benefits package, including a market-aligned salary, a solid pension plan, and various learning and development opportunities.
